Environmental Leadership Circle
The Environmental Leadership Circle is the premier award recognizing healthcare facilities that exemplify environmental excellence and are setting the highest standards for environmental practices in health care. This is a permanent designation. Award winners are chosen by the Practice Greenhealth award review team from the top Partner for Change applicants. To be considered, facilities must meet the criteria for the mercury-free award, recycle at least 25% of their total waste, have implemented numerous other innovative pollution prevention programs, and are leaders in their community.
Members of the Environmental Leadership Circle are asked to complete an Annual Report to maintain their status in the Circle. Failure to submit an annual report and demonstrate continued efforts in environmental excellence will result in removal from the Circle.
