Practice Greenhealth members can sign up for this annual subscription program which provides:
- 150 hours annually of consulting time and assistance.
- 50% discount on the Practice Greenhealth annual membership fee for GPOs.
- Prominent listing as EPP Supporters on our website, on our EPP fact sheets, and at our annual awards program.
Our goal is to ensure that you become and remain an environmental leader in health care by providing you with the tools and information you need to implement your environmental values through contracting activities.
EPP Supporters can use these consulting hours however they see fit, including offering them to their member or partner organizations. See below for a typical EPP Supporter service package.

A Typical EPP Supporter Package
Ongoing Technical EPP Contracting Assistance
We regularly review your list of upcoming contracts, identify contracts where environmental action is likely to enhance value or save money, and provide information for these contracts such as:
- RFP/RFI language specifying environmental requirements or requesting environmental information from suppliers.
- Contract language to ensure environmental enhancement is built into the contract.
- Examples from other institutions that have imposed environmental requirements for this contract area.
- List of suppliers likely to meet these environmental requirements.
Education and Outreach
- Presentation or workshop at your annual member meeting on greening healthcare, environmental purchasing, or other relevant topic.
- Monthly email to Practice Greenhealth members highlighting your newly-available environmental product offerings or services. This email goes to the facilities’ sustainability coordinators, facilities managers, or the people in the hospitals who are responsible for the environmental program.

- Analysis of costs and benefits for environmentally preferable products and contracts.

- Development and dissemination of targeted outreach materials including online and print newsletters, articles, and e-mail bulletins regarding EPP offerings to Practice Greenhealth member hospitals.
Training and Education
- EPP Training for Contracting Staff (teleconference or live).
- Educational presentations to annual member meetings (for GPOs) and product evaluation committees.
- Education for salespeople or contract compliance managers on environmental issues facing hospitals and solutions offered by your organization.
